Dr. Dawn's career includes a long list of celebrity clients, athletes, and others who insist on working with the best to achieve their optimal physical functioning. Dr. Eric Walz is an experienced outpatient physical therapist that focuses on skilled manual techniques to promote optimal movement and the ability to live pain (dysfunction) free. His background includes experiences in many different PT settings with his main focus being the orthopedic and athletic populations. Eric is able to utilize his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science to transition patients that are crippled by dysfunction back to a place where they feel comfortable returning to the gym. Eric moved out to California to pursue his therapy career while enjoying the incredible outdoor adventures that California has to offer. Being from the Midwest, he also enjoys riding motorcycles all year round.

Kinesis' front-desk-receptionist-turned-instructor Luisa has always been physically active. She danced through HS and college, discovered indoor cycling in her twenties, and fell in love with yoga in her thirties. Luisa was introduced to Pilates by a dear friend training to become an instructor, who told her she should consider doing the same. Years later, Luisa did Pilates 3-4x a week during her pregnancy and fell in love with the versatility of the workouts. She chose to get her STOTT Pilates Training through John Garey Fitness and Pilates in Long Beach for their emphasis on anatomy and alignment, and was certified eight months later.
Luisa then received her 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification through YogaWorks to better understand her yoga practice and dive deeper into the philosophy it. Her classes aim to safely challenge clients while having a great time as they become stronger and more flexible.
Dayanara Parra discovered pilates after a knee and back injury limited her workouts. Pilates facilitated her healing, as she gained an increase in flexibility and strength. Having this experience made her realize that she wanted to teach others how to rehabilitate injuries and become healthier and more fit overall. Beginning as a personal trainer she soon transitioned to pilates instructor. She chose to do her training in STOTT PILATES with John Garey Fitness & Pilates in Long Beach for their reputable, well respected classical methods and emphasis on fundamental principles. Her goal is to help clients feel stronger, motivated and energized.
Ed Szeto received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of San Francisco & started his professional career as an analytical environmental chemist. After a few years, he realized being exposed to toxic chemicals wasn't healthy and decided to move into computer programming. After 9/11/2001, he changed careers once again to Massage Therapy to help others.
He acquired his first certification at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica. He has since studied with Upledger Institute for Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation, Thai Massage, Upper Body Stretching, Lower Body Stretching, Trigger Point Therapy, Shoulder Joints at Hands on Healing and the Swedish Health Institute, & has also studied Myofascial Release under John Barnes.
Currently he is learning Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques with Erik Dalton & has completed about 70 percent of the course work. He anticipates becoming certified in a few months.
For recreation, he enjoys TRX and Martial Arts, and sometimes skiing.
Kelsi McRee has a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from CSUN with a minor in Recreation/Tourism Management. She is NASM certified and offers personal training privates as well as fitness classes with a focus on strength, conditioning and injury prevention. She comes to Kinesis with a background that includes working in her family’s small business & managing large groups of attendees through outdoor adventures & team-building exercises.
She’s a highly motivated self-starter with strong people and computer skills who definitely adds value to any team.
She enjoys the great outdoors, spending time with her family, and helping others.
Liza Quirante is a Reiki Level III Practitioner dedicated to learning about holistic health and energy healing. Reiki is a gentle healing modality used for stress relief and relaxation - think energy massage. It has its own intelligence and guides the energy to where it’s needed in the moment, improving energy flow that leads to an overall sense of wellbeing. Sessions can provide peace, balance, and a heightened sense of awareness.
Liza has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and she will be starting her doctor of physical therapy program in August 2020. Her vision in service involves combining the knowledge gathered from her degree and her love of energy work to help others heal on all levels. Javonte “Jay” Dennis graduated from Northern Arizona State with his degree in Exercise Science and did a prestigious internship with EXOS where he was working in sports fitness performance. He currently works as a Performance Coach at EXOS, a Tier 3 personal trainer at Equinox and now also personal training at Kinesis with daily morning and afternoon hours. Jay offers both private sessions and classes here with a focus on strength, conditioning and injury prevention.
Christiana Kyratzouli has been dancing all her life. She turned that love of dance into a BASI Pilates certification with an emphasis on dance conditioning in 2012. She teaches dance , Greek Folk Dance and Pilates. She has also recently been learning and exploring Sound Breathing and so she will be bringing those skills to Kinesis soon. Christiana is available for Pilates private sessions and classes @ Kinesis on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.
Claire Schulz is a classically trained, PMA Certified Pilates Teacher. She chose to become certified through White House Pilates, in Manhattan Beach, because of the direct lineage Caroline Londergan has with Joseph Pilates, making Claire a 3rd generation instructor. Deciding to take her training to the next level, Claire also became a Pre and Post-Natal Specialist through The Center for Women’s Fitness. As an athlete, movement is part of her daily routine, always looking to challenge herself, while staying healthy and injury free. After taking her first Pilates class several years ago, she immediately saw the benefits and knew that this was a modality she wanted to teach others. Claire is a health and fitness advocate, focusing her classes around intentional movement with the individual needs of each client in mind. Sometimes, the smallest adjustment can make a world of difference.
