Over the course of 2016, you likely heard LOTS from Coach Kimmie's about her involvement with the non-profit organization, Catch A Lift Fund (CAL). Its premise is assisting post-9/11 veterans in getting back into fitness and exercise routines. You can visit the site here for more details. http://www.catchaliftfund.com
Kinesis has always had a desire to give back to the community in any way we could. This organization is very close to Coach Kimmie's heart. As a US Army veteran, she realizes how hard it can be transitioning from the routines and schedules of being in the military back into "civilian life". So, by becoming one of a very few Squad Leaders across the nation, this is the way she can give back on a regular, yearlong basis. Kinesis has hosted multiple fundraiser workouts and events to raise funds for this awesome cause. If you'd like to donate directly to CAL, please follow this link. http://www.catchaliftfund.com/donation/
Thank you to our military veterans who have served, are serving and have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we may continue to enjoy our freedom.
At Kinesis, we also have a very strong connection to raising monies for cancer research. Several of our clients have fought and won the "cancer battle" and we are so very proud to know these amazing people.
Regularly, we connect to various local organizations to help raise funds for research and to assist families who are struggling financially due to dealing with repercussions of this horrible disease.
Since we opened, we've worked with and fundraised for local organization Upward Bound House. Their mission is eliminate homelessness among families with children in Los Angeles by providing housing, supportive services, and advocacy. They strive to reduce the number of homeless families with minor children who are hungry and living on the streets of Los Angeles, by helping them access basic resources and successfully transition into their own homes with the capacity to remain there permanently.
